Legal/Finance Committee
The Legal/Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing all financial matters and ensuring compliance with legal requirements at Oregon Camp Cedarbrook. This committee works closely with the Board of Directors to maintain sound financial principles and ensure transparency. Its duties include preparing the annual budget, reviewing financial statements, recommending fiscal policies, and ensuring legal compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The committee also works in partnership with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a national legal organization, to provide guidance on religious liberty and other legal issues affecting the camp. Additionally, the committee manages fundraising plans, insurance coverage, permits, and legal consultations to ensure the camp operates smoothly and sustainably. The committee evaluates the camp’s financial status annually and provides updates to the Board.


Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee is responsible for developing and executing strategies to promote Oregon Camp Cedarbrook and its programs. This committee focuses on recruiting campers, expanding involvement from staff, parents, churches, and community organizations, and raising awareness about the camp’s mission. Key duties include creating a yearly marketing plan, producing promotional materials, scheduling promotional events, overseeing camp photography and videography, and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing efforts. The committee also collaborates with the Camp Director and Board to refine marketing strategies and assists with maintaining online presence and website updates. Regular reports are provided to the Board to ensure the camp’s promotional efforts are on track and impactful.
Program Committee
The Program Committee is responsible for planning and executing the program and activity aspects of Oregon Camp Cedarbrook, ensuring that all activities align with the camp’s philosophy and Camper Development Goals. This committee works closely with the Program Director to organize engaging and meaningful programs, including Bible studies, morning devotionals, themed events, and recreational activities. Key responsibilities include developing program materials, recruiting and supporting activity leaders, ensuring safety practices, and recommending new program ideas. The committee also helps with inventory management, evaluates program effectiveness, and collaborates with the Camp Director to enhance spiritual growth and camper engagement throughout the year.


Site Committee
The Site Committee is responsible for managing Oregon Camp Cedarbrook’s relationship with the camp’s rental site, ensuring the site is properly maintained, safe, and ready for use. This committee coordinates the scheduling and contracts for the camp site, oversees opening and closing procedures, and ensures preventive maintenance inspections are carried out. The committee also manages the camp’s equipment, including its maintenance, transportation, and storage, and recommends upgrades or repairs as needed. In the event the primary rental site becomes unavailable, the committee prepares contingency plans for alternative locations. The committee works closely with rental site personnel to maintain strong relationships and ensure that the camp site meets safety standards and aligns with the camp’s values and needs.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for developing and executing strategies to raise funds for Oregon Camp Cedarbrook. This committee plans and organizes fundraising events, working closely with churches, home groups, and other organizations to secure support. The committee also collaborates with the Marketing Committee to promote these events and ensures alignment with the camp’s overall goals. Regular evaluations are conducted with the Board to assess the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and recommend improvements for future campaigns. The committee provides updates to the Board on fundraising progress and outcomes.


Weston Community Committee
The Weston Community Committee is focused on planning and executing events to promote Oregon Camp Cedarbrook in the Weston, Oregon area. This committee organizes activities like the Athena Bazaar, Camp Nights with Weston Community Church’s Pioneer Clubs, and any other events. The committee is also responsible for preparing camp materials for upcoming events, hosting camp-themed games, and sharing the camp’s mission with local families.
