Staff Positions

Camp Counselor

The Cabin Counselor at Oregon Camp Cedarbrook is responsible for coordinating the cabin life, program, and activities for an assigned group of campers throughout the camp session. The primary responsibility is to care for the physical, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being of the campers, ensuring their safety and fostering a positive, supportive environment. Counselors lead daily Bible devotions, provide spiritual guidance, and model a Christian lifestyle through healthy relationships. They oversee cabin activities, promote teamwork, and address individual camper needs, while adhering to camp policies and safety guidelines. Additionally, counselors play a key role in supporting the camp's mission by participating in staff training, assisting in divisional events, and providing feedback to help improve future camp sessions. Our goal is to have two counselors and maximum of ten campers per cabin.

Division Director

The Division Director at Oregon Camp Cedarbrook serves as the primary support and counselor for the counselors within their assigned division. Their main responsibility is to oversee the physical, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being of both counselors and camper groups, ensuring a safe and positive environment. The Division Director provides guidance, encouragement, and direction to counselors, helping them fulfill their roles while offering support in times of need. They assist in planning and coordinating divisional activities, integrate the camp’s goals and theme into the program, and ensure that safety protocols are followed. Acting as a liaison between the Camp Director and counselors, the Division Director also conducts meetings and evaluates the effectiveness of the division’s activities. By nurturing and empowering counselors, the Division Director plays a key role in ensuring the overall success of the camp experience.
